On October 6, 1986, the first episode of Double Dare was recorded, and gradually it evolved into what was possibly the greatest game show ever made. With a genius format and a half dozen gallons of whipped cream and about a hundred eggs, the show changed children's television forever - and that was just the beginning! Double Dare outdid itself with the bigger and messier Super Sloppy Double Dare, and provided messy family fun for everyone in Family Double Dare. It even returned for the new millenium as Double Dare 2000.
Today, Double Dare is long gone from Nickelodeon, but it lives on in the form of a revolution in the network's history and in the childhood memories of many.
